I was in the conference hall at Labour Party Conference when the Prime Minister made this speech. It was an electric feeling when Labour’s achievements since 1997 were read out. There has been so much done but there is still so much more to do.
This election isn’t a referendum on the Labour Government it is a choice between two very different visions of Britain – and let’s be blunt, it is a choice between a Labour and a Tory government. A vote for the Liberal Democrats might as well be a vote for the Conservatives.
The choice between Labour and Tory has been apparent on the streets of Ivybridge this week between how the two different parties campaign. Labour has been out on the doors all year round and the Tories have delivered their first leaflet since the last time there was an election. Voters have a choice locally and they have a choice nationally. Choose wisely.
