The importance of online campaigning

This week’s video is a bit different – it was filmed in London whilst Luke was volunteering with Terrence Higgins Trust helping teach young people about how to use video and internet campaigning to reduce the number of sexual health infections. After the training session Luke chaired a panel at Progress’ conference on internet campaigning. Luke said: “It was a real privilge to help Terrence Higgins Trust, a charity that does a superb job, in training young people about how to spread awareness of preventing sexually transmitted infections. There are still too many people having risky sex and not using a condom in the UK and this means HIV infections are still on the up. The best people to spread HIV prevention messages amongst young people are young people themselves and I am glad that I could help THT in a small way in doing this.”
