Johnny Mercer's attack on campaign to save Stonehouse Barracks

I've been contacted by a lot of people today about Johnny Mercer's attack on me for launching a campaign to save Stonehouse Barracks.

Let me be clear: Plymouth comes first, each and every time and I make no apology for standing up for our city.

During the election I raised concerns about whether the Tories would sell Stonehouse Barracks and the Citadel and whether they would scrap HMS Ocean. They denied it then but they've scrapped HMS Ocean since and they're now planning to sell Stonehouse Barracks. Looks like those concerns were valid and real. This isn't scaremongering or opportunistic, it's called standing up for Plymouth.

Plymouth needs people, whether elected or not, to stand up for us. And today that means campaigning to Save Stonehouse Barracks and keeping the Royal Marines in Plymouth.
