CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, have got in touch with Luke to discuss their campaign to protect pub and breweries. Good news: Luke is a CAMRA member and is pleased to back their campaign.

Luke said:

“I’m proud to be a CAMRA member and once again I am pleased to support CAMRA’s campaign.  I'm proud to pledge to support well-run community pubs, promote Britain's 1,540 breweries and represent pub goers, beer and cider drinkers.

I’m a big fan of a good pint at my local pub Mutley Plain’s Hyde Park pub. I’m a strong believer in good, well-run pubs being part of our communities."

Beer, brewing and pubs make a huge contribution to our local economy. They support nearly 900,000 British jobs, and contribute £23.1bn to the UK economy annually. Pubs are also an important part of local community life, bringing people together and providing much needed social space for groups.

CAMRA are a consumer group with over 187,000 members committed to securing quality real ale and thriving pubs in every community.

Cheers!
