Following news that Plymouth Studio School will close just three years after opening, Luke Pollard MP has called for greater certainty for young people on their school places and for the full details from the Ofsted inspection to be published as soon as possible.

Luke Pollard MP said:

“I have already been contacted by worried parents of children who are taking exams in a few weeks time. The priority is ensuring all the children and young people get certainty about their school place and swiftly.

Ofsted have not yet published the report into this school and it is important that staff and parents know why this school is closing. The Ofsted report must be published without delay by Ofsted.”

A recent Ofsted inspection rated the school as inadequate and it is anticipated that the School will close in September 2018. Parent and carers should call Plymouth City Council’s school admissions team on 01752 307467 or email inyear.admissions@plymouth.gov.uk to discuss the next steps.

If any parents are worried please get in touch with Luke's office on 01752 717255 or email at luke.pollard.mp@parliament.uk
