Report into re-opening Plymouth Airport

plane.jpg

The Government needs to publish its report into re-opening Plymouth Airport and soon.

The Tories made a pledge to study how to re-open the airport just ahead of the General Election. That pledge swung votes and over a year and a half on the report hasn't been published and the Government can't tell us when it might be.

Plymouth needs a fast and resilient additional train line and an airport. We are still waiting for reports on both the rail and air links for Plymouth - they are both being sat on by Ministers.

Apart from the occasional hot air soundbite I'm very worried our local Tory MPs are not doing enough to get the answers we need.

My message to Government is simple: publish the report into re-opening Plymouth Airport without any further delay. My message to our local MPs is equally as simple: start earning your money and begin to put some pressure on Ministers. It is what you are paid to do and what you are comprehensively failing to do week in week out.
