I have had lots of people contact me with concerns about Collings Park Surgery and the questionnaire recently send to patients regarding the potential merging of this surgery with others in the Mayflower Group.

There is a primary care crisis and it is right that surgeries reconfigure some services to ensure they are able to provide a full set of services. This is going to be even more of an issue with so many GPs retiring in the city and so it is important that services are configured in a way that everyone has access to them when they need them. However, it is important that patients are involved in these discussions and their voices are heard.

I know that many people will have concerns about these proposals and I am happy representing your views to the Mayflower Group to ensure they are heard. As COVID-19 prevent us from meeting in the usual way, I am hosting a Zoom call to hear people’s views.

This will be on Monday 30 November at 7pm – you can register for this Zoom call here.

I understand that not everyone will want to share their views in this sort of way, so if you would like to contribute by email or post then I am asking three simple questions about Mayflower Group’s plans – 1) Are you in agreement with the proposals? 2) Do you feel the proposals have any merit? 3) If you are not supportive of the plans, are you able to suggest any alternatives?

I hope to hear from many of you at the Zoom meeting or with answers to the above questions to luke.pollard.mp@parliament.uk.
