There are 18,000 people on NHS dental waiting lists in Plymouth, with too many forced to wait years and years simply to see a dentist.

No-one should have to go without NHS dental care, and it’s shocking that so many in our city cannot access this basic and vital service.

Practices are working flat out, but they are simply overwhelmed.

Today I called on the Health Secretary to urgently fund a West End Health Hub in Plymouth city centre with extra dental capacity, so we can fix this mess.

He’s agreed to meet with me and I’ll be continuing to press the case.
