Where is the Plymouth Airport report?

Together with Tudor Evans I've called for the Government to hurry up and publish their report into re-opening Plymouth Airport.

Plymouth deserves better than the poor transport links we have. We need action to improve our road, rail and air links.

The Government has long-grassed the report into re-opening the airport. I suspect this is because it was just a ploy to help the Tories win elections and there was no intention of supporting Plymouth get its airport back.

Let me be clear: anything less than a clear plan to help re-open the airport will be a betrayal of Plymouth and a clear sign the Tories are not prioritising the south west.

I want to see the local Tory MPs join Labour in heaping pressure on the Government to publish this report and get our airport open. I believe Plymouth needs an airport along with investment in the A38, a new rail link to Tavistock and a new additional fast and resilient train line at Dawlish.

I make no apology for campaigning hard on Plymouth's transport links and I hope others will join with me and Tudor in backing our call for the Department of Transport to publish the long overdue report into re-opening Plymouth Airport.
