Last week Luke spoke in a Westminster Hall Debate about the reunion of child refugees with family who live in the UK. Current laws mean that many children are being left in danger, at risk of trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Luke has called for changes to be made to current legislation to ensure that child refugees are able to be reunited with aunts, uncles, grandparents and older siblings, not just parents.

Luke Pollard MP says:

“I saw first hand the suffering that unaccompanied children in Calais are going through, last year. It makes me so angry to see that there are still these barriers in place, stopping them from being reunited with their family in the UK. The Government needs to act now.”
