Commenting on the prorogation of Parliament being deemed illegal by the Supreme Court, Luke Pollard, MP for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport, said:

 

“The Supreme Court’s judgement that Boris Johnson lied to the Queen and unlawfully shut down Parliament is unprecedented.

 

“I am now heading back to Westminster to take my seat in the House of Commons.

 

“Boris Johnson’s prorogation of Parliament is not only cowardly and undemocratic, it is also illegal.

 

“Boris Johnson’s lies have been found out. He lied to the Queen. He must now resign.”
