• Luke stood in solidarity with the RCN and their petition.
  • Luke addresses the urgent need to help fix the crisis that the nursing workforce is facing in England.
  • Investment in high quality training for nurses.

Luke went to 10 Downing Street, to support the Royal College of Nursing, and their petition they were submitting. The petition calls for urgent action to fix the nursing workforce crisis in England.

Everyone who works for the NHS works so hard, and Luke can see that. He sees it at the Derriford Hospital in Plymouth and all the hard working MIUs an GPs.

The Prime Minister and the Conservative majority in the government voted against Labour’s amendment to increase NHS funding. This amendment would have helped so many people that work for the NHS. It would especially help the great nurses that are behind this petition.

Luke Pollard said:

“We will keep the pressure on, till we get the safe staffing levels in Derriford and across the NHS.”
