Luke Pollard MP Member of Parliament for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport
- Luke talks on the House of Commons Floor about the Prison Bill
- Addresses the need for the Bill to prevent people like Vanessa George from getting out of Jail
- Luke appreciates the cross-party cooperation behind this bill
Today Luke with other MP’s passed the Prisoners Disclosure Bill, something that he has been supporting for some time now. This is because he wants people like Vanessa George to stay behind bars, due to the fact they show no remorse for their crimes. Also, Luke feels that it is not right that we are still in the dark to some degree with the victims of Vanessa George. People like her should be in jail, and this bill makes that more clear.
“I back this bill and so does my party. Today, Ministers amended the Bill to make sure it included all types of sentences for refusing to name child victims of sexual abuse. I supported this amendment to make this Bill as robust as it can be.”
