“What we needed was clarity and precision on the next phase of lockdown. Sadly, we didn’t get either from the PM.
“The new slogan asking people to stay alert is confusing and lacks the clarify and urgency of “stay at home”.
“People in Plymouth want to do the right thing but if the advice is changing Ministers will need to provide much more detail and clearer guidance.
“Because the PM said people are now able to drive to reach a destination for exercise some may interpret that as being allowed to take holidays in the south west. My message to them is simple: stay away and come back later.”
