Luke Pollard MP Labour & Co-op Member of Parliament for Plymouth Sutton & Devonport

Luke Pollard, the MP for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport, has backed Radio Plymouth’s campaign to re-run Mother’s Day this year.
They have suggested September 6 as a new date for Mother’s Day, given many weren’t able to see the mothers and enjoy the holiday on March 22 because of the Coronavirus lockdown.
Luke Pollard said:
“I love the idea of rebooting Mother’s Day in September. So many of us missed out on properly celebrating Mother’s Day this year because of the Coronavirus, but that doesn’t mean our Mums don’t deserve our thanks and our love this year. This will help reconnect families and boost Plymouth’s hospitality sector.
“Let’s make this happen Plymouth!”
Outstanding idea! Let’s reboot Mother’s Day on 6 September. It will help our struggling hospitality businesses, help reconnect families and say a proper thank you to our Mums! A wonderful and timely idea @radioplymouth. Let’s do it #plymouth https://t.co/6UqQRpvhwn
