As the Plymouth Blitz commemorations and reflections come to an end, it is important to share three final videos highlighting key experiences of the Blitz period.

Firstly, Tam McFarlane recorded a video at the start of the remembrance period highlighting the important sacrifice made by firefighters during the Plymouth Blitz. On 25 April, a plaque was unveiled in honour of those who lost their lives. You can view this here.

Secondly, local historian Chris Robinson showed us around the Royal Parade to tell us more about the building that were badly bombed during WWII. As Chris said, although it was a tragedy, the bombings are what made Plymouth the unique city that it is today.

Finally, Willie Wilson from the Marine Biological Association shared the experiences of MBA Director Stanley Kemp during the Blitz. He was right to point out that the most important thing is to learn from experiences and always look forward to the future.
