Luke checks out the community fridge at Leadworks

Luke Pollard MP was in Stonehouse to take a look around Leadworks, a public facility and creative space to benefit the community. The space, a reconstituted warehouse, now hosts exhibitions and events, and is full of artists’ studios, workshop rooms, and performance spaces. There’s a public living room, a cafe and a bar, and a library open to the community.

The new community fridge project, in partnership with the Co-op, allows people to take what they need, and others are encouraged to donate food.

In a post on his Facebook page, Luke Pollard MP wrote:

“I went down last week to take a look at their new community fridge project. Thanks to help from Co-op UK, this fridge is open for all to take whatever they need, and for others to share whatever they can. If you’re looking for some extra support from the community fridge, or if you could donate some food, please do get yourself down there on a Monday or Saturday, 10-3pm.”
