Newly-qualified sailors at their passing out parade

Luke Pollard MP recently attended the passing out parade of Fisher 2115 at HMS Raleigh.

The passing out ceremony is a hugely important milestone in the lives of those serving in our armed forces and marks the official beginning of their full-time service.

Luke said:

It was a privilege to attend the passing out parade of Fisher 2115 at HMS Raleigh today. As a son of a sub-mariner and MP for Devonport, I know our Royal Navy isn’t about the hulls, weapons or equipment, it’s about the people.

Today was a true celebration of all the hard work the trainees had put in over the past 10 weeks of basic training and beyond.

Huge thank you to Captain Neilsen for the warm welcome and congratulations to our newest Royal Navy sailors!”
