I want to thank people across Plymouth for showing incredible community spirit in organising street parties, garden parties, community get-togethers, outings, plays, and gatherings to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

I attended events across Plymouth Sutton and Devonport across the Jubilee Bank Holiday and weekend to thank residents for their efforts.

70 years on the throne is an incredible achievement from the Queen. She has been the nation’s rock through turbulent and changing times. I was pleased that Plymouth, a city that has welcomed the Queen so often, came out in force to thank Her Majesty for her service. I want to say a big thank you for the way our communities have come together to make this Jubilee so special. Thank you!
