Today is, tragically, one year since Kabul fell to the Taliban.

We all remember watching the harrowing scenes of families fleeing to escape and I want to pay tribute to the bravery of our service personnel who facilitated the evacuation and the generosity of people across Plymouth who have supported resettled families.

6000 Afghans and their families who supported the UK military are still stranded in Afghanistan. The government must do all it can to get them to safety.
