Luke Pollard MP Labour & Co-op Member of Parliament for Plymouth Sutton & Devonport

Each month I hold a roundtable event, called Politics and Pastries, where I bring together stakeholders from across the city to look at key issues that face people here.
For this month’s topic we focused on asylum seekers and refugee support in Plymouth. Plymouth is a City of Sanctuary, so it is important that we constantly look at how we can make life a bit fairer and a bit better for those folk that have had to flee their own countries because of war or persecution.
My team of caseworkers and I support a lot of people with their applications and couldn’t do it without the support of so many of the brilliant organisations that we have in Plymouth that we work hand in hand with.
I am incredibly proud to support these amazing groups, such as DCRS (Devon and Cornwall Refugee Support), the British Red Cross and START in the city.
As always, if anybody is in need of support, please contact me at luke.pollard.mp@parliament.uk or call 01752 717255 and my team will be happy to see what they can do to help, as well as signpost you to resources near you.
