Hello Plymouth – I am delighted that families in our city are getting a £1.25m boost in support.

One of mine and the government’s top ambitions is to give every child the best possible start in life, no matter their background.

This funding will make a real difference for folks in our city, paying for extra parenting classes, infant feeding advice, mental health support and infant feeding.

We’re also driving down the cost of childcare, improving SEND provision, boosting school standards and delivering free breakfast clubs for every primary school pupil in Plymouth – so that no one has to learn on an empty belly.

Early intervention is key to raising the healthiest generation of children ever.
