GOOD NEWS: A new dental clinic will open in Plymouth City Centre after years of my campaigning.

Announced today, 29th January 2025, Peninsula Dental School will open a game-changing dental clinic on New George Street in the old First Stop Shop.

Specialists, clinicians and final year dental students from Peninsula will provide urgent care there for people with pain, infection and trauma.

I’m delighted. I’ve been working on these plans with Peninsula Dental School for years as part of my campaign for a ‘Health Village’ of new NHS facilities in our city centre. In fact, my very first meeting as an MP was on these plans.

Work to revamp the property is set to take place within months.

The last government left Plymouth’s NHS dentistry in a dire state, and my work continues to make sure everyone can access an NHS dentist.
