🐝 Good news for our pollinators: the government ruled out the use of a highly toxic bee-killing pesticide, Cruiser SB.
Cruiser SB is banned in the UK, but the Conservatives had allowed it to be used under ’emergency ‘ measures every year for the past five years.
I’ve campaigned for years against this loophole, and I am glad that the Labour government has ruled out emergency use of this bee-killing pesticide for 2025.
Just one teaspoon of this pesticide is powerful enough to kill 1.25 billion honey bees.
