Luke Pollard MP Labour & Co-op Member of Parliament for Plymouth Sutton & Devonport

A new eye clinic for people experiencing homelessness has opened in Plymouth, at Shekinah on Kings Road.
Shekinah is invaluable for people in crisis, offering housing advice, healthcare, and drug and alcohol services.
I was glad to visit to learn more about the clinic, which offers free sight tests and support with glasses. It’s supported by Plymouth University and local optical practices.
The last Labour government made huge strides in ending homelessness but that progress has been undone in recent years.
I’m proud to have stood on a manifesto that committed to putting Britain back on track to ending homelessness, with the largest ever cash boost to tackle and prevent homelessness announced for 2025.
The eye clinic runs every week on Thursdays from 9am until 3pm.
