Social Media Policy
This website and the associated social media channels – Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), Threads, Bluesky, YouTube and LinkedIn are managed by myself and members of my team. The purpose of these channels is to share news, content and resources about Plymouth Sutton and Devonport and the City of Plymouth as a whole. I also share news about my role as Minister for the Armed Forces as well as the occasional personal update.
I want these online spaces to be a safe place for people – particularly for residents of Plymouth, as well as those interested in my ministerial work – to share their comments and thoughts on issues covered on these platforms. To make sure these online spaces remain a safe and enjoyable environment for people to interact, comment, question and engage in debate, I wanted to share my approach on how I moderate my page.
- I encourage respectful discussion between people, my page is not suitable for slurs, insults or abuse. You don’t have to agree with what other people say or share, but please treat everybody with dignity, courtesy and respect.
