🚨2024 Buildings at Risk List🚨
Â
Too many of Plymouth’s iconic buildings have been left to rot. That’s why in 2022 I launched my Buildings at Risk List, featuring ten important buildings in our city that have fallen into disuse and disrepair.
Â
As a Janner, I’m proud of Plymouth’s rich history but we don’t do enough to protect our built heritage. This campaign puts pressure on owners to either invest into our iconic buildings or sell them to someone who will.
Â
We’ve seen great success with this campaign, with the Royal Bank of Scotland Building (aka the Natwest Building) seeing much improvement.
Â
I’m pleased to announce that soon I’ll be releasing the 2024 edition of my Buildings at Risk list and I want to hear your views.
Â
Here are the 10 buildings from last year. Which ones should be on the list this year?

1. The Palace Theatre, Union Street
2. The Royal Fleet Club, Devonport
3. The Pot Black Building/Mechanics Institute, Devonport.
4. Stoke Damerel High School for Girls, Devonport
5. Pounds House, Central Park
6. Great Western Hotel, Union Street
7. The Cooperage, the Barbican.
8. The Civic Centre, Armada Way
