Social
I believe politicians need to be more open, transparent and accountable. That’s one of the reasons why I am a big fan of using social media as part of my campaign. Social media is a good way of letting people see what I’m doing in real time, ask questions, watch videos, interact and share stories and pictures from my work in Parliament.
I regularly have a Facebook Live Q&A on my page, which I will advertise beforehand. You can ask me anything. I think this is a good way to encourage more openness and transparency in our politics. #AskLuke
Twitter is a brilliant way of keeping track of what I’m up to. I tweet about what I am doing, the stuff I’m reading and things I’m generally interested in. I try to respond to all questions and tweets – sometimes by Direct Message – so make sure you’re following me if you want to ask a question so I can DM back. If your question doesn’t fit in 280 characters please email me luke.pollard.mp@parliament.uk
You can also follow Plymouth Labour on Twitter @PlymouthLabour
Follow me on Instagram for a more personal take on my role as your MP and catch up on my latest videos and photos. You can also follow what I am doing on my Instagram stories
YouTube
I’ve been recording videos on YouTube for years. I think YouTube is a really good way of communicating what I am getting up to. You can watch my videos in Parliament since I was elected here. Remember to subscribe so you don’t miss any new content.
