Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO)

Luke’s team have already helped several people who were stranded abroad, but there is more work to do and Luke has been lobbying the FCO to move more quickly to get people home. The Government’s latest plan to repatriate British nationals is welcome, but has been too slow in coming. If you need help getting home, contact Luke.

Because of strict parliamentary protocols, Luke can only work on behalf of people from Plymouth, Sutton and Devonport. To check Luke is able to represent you, enter your postcode here.

If you need assistance, email Luke on luke.pollard.mp@parliament.uk giving your Full Name, UK Address, Date of Birth, Passport Number, Current Location, Mobile Phone Number and any other relevant details.

Then, register with your nearest embassy or consulate – make sure you confirm this by ringing them to follow up.

Luke will contact you for any other information he needs to help get you home, but if you need any other support let Luke know by emailing luke.pollard.mp@parliament.uk

If your friend/relative is trapped abroad

Whilst we understand your concern, Luke is unable to take on cases from individuals who are not from Plymouth, Sutton and Devonport. You should encourage your friend/relative to do the following:

  • Please check who their MP is by entering their UK postcode: https://www.writetothem.com/
  • Ask them to contact their MP directly with all the appropriate details (if they are unable to, you can do this on their behalf)
  • Advise them to register with their nearest embassy or consulate
  • Advise them to monitor their local FCO Twitter feed – @UKinPeru / @UKinIndia / @UkinNZ etc.
