•  Luke supports firefighters on Firefighters’ Memorial Day 2020
• This marks the day we remember those firefighters who have lost their live on duty

Luke has today commemorated Firefighters’ Memorial day, remembering those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Luke said:

“Today we remember all the firefighters who have lost their lives keeping us all safe. As a city we owe a great deal to those who run towards danger when others run away. We remember those firefighters who died in the Plymouth Blitz, those who have died and been injured in fires since. We remember all those who have given their lives. During this Coronavirus crisis, firefighters are again risking their lives to help others and I know that our city wants to thank them, as do I, for their work and the risks they take on behalf of us all.”
