Luke Pollard MP Member of Parliament for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport
As Russia’s military presence on the Ukrainian border continues to grow, Luke today called on the Prime Minister to increase support to our NATO allies in the region.
Raising the importance of NATO’s eastern flank, Luke said:
Can the Prime Minister set out what additional support we’ll be providing to our allies on NATO’s eastern flank, especially using UK forces that are already stationed in those countries, to deter any future Russian aggression after any invasion of Ukraine?
In his response, the Prime Minister said that many western countries including the UK were exploring how to fortify the eastern flank – such as by working with Romania and Hungary.
