Luke Pollard MP Member of Parliament for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport

It was a privilege to be at the reading of the Proclamation of King Charles III at Plymouth Guildhall on Sunday.
Our Lord Mayor, Cllr Sue Dann, did a superb job in reading the proclamation and leading us all in the first public singing of God Save the King in 70 years at a civic event in the city.
The photos of the proclamation for Queen Elizabeth II being read from 70 years ago at thr Guildhall shows a very different Plymouth to the one we have today. There has been enormous social and technological change in that time.
Thank you to everyone who came out to join the crowds for the proclamation.
