Are you a Plymouth pupil who completed Year 10, 11, 12 or 13 before the summer holiday?  I’m excited to be hosting a two day summer school this August and I hope you’ll consider applying.

Our city is full of talented and hardworking young people, but they don’t always get their voices heard. My summer school will bring together speakers from across the political spectrum, as well as inspirational community leaders and those working in the media, with the aim of giving young people in Plymouth the skills and confidence to make change nationally and locally.

My hope is that young people will come away brimming with ideas about how to get involved with supporting their communities, and how to campaign on issues that are important to them.

The summer school will be held in Devonport High School for Boys on 4 and 5 August. So that travel costs aren’t a barrier to participation, free Dayrider tickets will be available from Citybus.
