On December 13th 2019, Luke was re-elected as the Member of Parliament for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport, with a majority of 4, 757.
Giving his acceptance speech at 5:31am, Luke said:
“I’d like to especially thank the people of Plymouth Sutton and Devonport, who have put their trust in me again to represent them in Parliament. I am proud to represent the seat where I was born and where I live. Now in the days and weeks ahead, we need to start getting our fair share. Because we now have more Tory MPs in the South West than you can shake a stick at. I’d like to congratulate all of those Tory candidates who have succeeded tonight. But since we have so many of you, my challenge for you is: now give us our fair share of funding as a city.
“I will do all I can to stand up for not only the people of Plymouth Sutton and Devonport, but all those in need across the far South West.”
“Plymouth deserves our fair share and I will continue to campaign for that, day in, day out”
