Swimmers from Devonport Royal Swimming Association were given awards by Luke Pollard MP at their annual celebration evening this week held at the brand new Green Taverners building at Home Park.

Luke is the Club President of DRSA and has presented the awards to the young people for the past three years.

Luke said: “On the day that Plymouth-born swimmer Lewis Pugh was swimming in Antarctica it was a special privilege to give out the awards and trophies to the young people of DRSA. They have had an incredible year that included personal bests, hosting their own meet at the Life Centre, sponsored swims, the Breakwater swim and much more. Their approach to swimming, professionalism and dedication of young people, coaches and parents is fantastic. Swim fast, swim strong, swim together. It is an event I look forward to each year and I’m very proud to be the Club President again for the coming year.”

DRSA is the premier teaching and development club in the Plymouth Life Centre for swimmers and water polo players of all age groups and abilities.
