- Charlotte Holloway also talks to Lisa Nandy about how we need to connect all parts of the party and country.
- Luke further talks about his invite to all potential Labour Leadership contenders to come and visit Plymouth, and listen to the citizens concerns.
Luke has sent out an invite to all possible future Labour Leadership contenders to visit Plymouth. He wanted to extend these invites, so cities like Plymouth and the areas aroud the city can be heard and understood by the future leaders of the party. So far, Lisa Nandy was the first person to take up his offer to visit last Saturday, and you can see what they talked about here.
In two months the Labour party will soon elect its new leader of its party.
The issues that Luke cares about in regards to the area of Plymouth, and surrounding areas are things that he wants the future leader of the party to care about. He invited each potential leader to come to the area so they can understand what is happening in the area. On the 7 March, another potential leader that is coming to Plymouth is Keir Starmer.
Luke Pollard said:
We need all the Labour Leadership contenders to listen to what is happening in Plymouth, in the far south west, and make sure that is fed into their policy positions.
