- The conference will take place on March 14th at Emmanuel Church in Mannamead
- Luke is set to speak on Plymouth’s plans to be net zero by 2030
- Luke called for bolder decarbonization action
On March 14th, Luke will speak at Emmanuel Church in Mannamead at the Living Sustainably in our Modern World Conference. Tickets for the conference cost £5 and may be found here. The conference will include lunch as well.
Luke is excited to speak on how Plymouth will reach net zero emissions by 2030. A plan for net zero must include bolder, radical action to decarbonize, protect fragile ecosystems, and value diversity of animals, birds, and insects. It must be a plan for everyone as well, putting social justice and climate justice hand in hand.
Plymouth has set a model goal of net zero emissions by 2030. However, the conservative Government has chosen to use 2050 as its goal and unfortunately, is on track to reach net zero by 2099.
