Luke Pollard MP Member of Parliament for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport
After the announcement by Boris Johnson last night, Luke has received a lot of correspondence from Early Years providers about the fact that schools are closing to all but emergency and key workers, whilst Early Years settings remain open to everyone. Luke has been campaigning for fairer funding for nurseries for some time but recognises the pandemic has made many nursery businesses unsustainable.
Luke understands that many Early Years staff are feeling left behind and worried about the virus, their jobs and how to keep everyone in their workplace and at home safe, and is keen to hear their views on this as soon as possible in light of the news.
Luke will be holding this discussion on Friday 8 January,
11.30am – 12.30pm via Zoom.
Following the discussion, Luke will be making representations to Ministers specifically on how Early Years providers in Plymouth feel.
If you are an Early Years provider and are interested in attending, please contact Luke on email@example.com to receive an invitation.
