Luke has welcomed the news that the Downing Street parties will investigated by the Metropolitan Police, stating that nobody is above the law – including the Prime Minister.

Also commenting on the news that Boris Johnson held a party in Downing Street on his birthday, Luke said:

It is profoundly insulting that the Prime Minister thought he could still have a birthday party in lockdown when so many people had birthdays alone in lockdown, and children in Plymouth went without seeing their friends.

 

It is clear that Boris Johnson has lied and lied about these parties. He is unfit for office. He must resign and if he doesn’t Tory MPs need to remove him from office. South West Conservative MPs can no longer be silent. They need to demand he goes.”
