Luke Pollard MP Member of Parliament for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport

Today is Armed Forces Day, an opportunity to pay tribute to our service personnel, veterans, and their families.
A fitting Service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance took place on Plymouth Hoe this morning, followed by a 400-strong parade of those who served in the liberation of the Falklands forty years ago.
Plymouth dispatches ships, troops, merchant navy, RFAs and more to the Falklands in 1982. We must remember those we lost during that conflict, and all those we have lost since.
I’m hugely proud of the commitment, courage and sacrifice shown by our servicemen and women- past and present.
I spoke with Lucy and Tony who are on the committee of Labour Friends of the Forces. Click the link below to hear more about what LFF does and why Labour has a strong voice on veterans issues.
