Today I met Ralph and Tony from the Communication Workers’ Union to talk about their members not getting a fair pay settlement from BT despite its huge profits. 

Working people are paying the price of 12 years of Tory government through low growth, high inflation and record falls in real pay for workers.

BT is super-profitable. We desperately need BT to speed up broadband rollout, which cannot be done without their skilled workforce. EE staff in Plymouth must also be better valued by BT.

The government should be pressing BT to work with unions and agree a fair pay deal. And fast.
