In the House of Commons this afternoon I opened the debate for Labour on the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Vladimir Putin is a bully. His rhetoric is the sabre-rattling of a weak leader.
We must respond to Russia’s latest escalation in rhetoric by remaining united with our NATO allies in our unwavering support of Ukraine. This is the best way to ensure Putin’s invasion ends in failure.
Labour stands with Ukraine and we will continue to back the Government’s efforts to support them.
