Hello #Plymouth – Over the weekend we celebrated Armed Forces Day, commemorating those who bravely and selflessly serve our country. I met with Labour’s Parliamentary candidates, Cllr Jayne Kirkham and Perran Moon, who warmly welcomed me back to Falmouth where this years National Armed Forces Day event took place.

As a proud Janner and as Labour’s Shadow Armed Forces Minister I want to say thank you to those who serve. It is the ultimate public service.

Sunshine and blue skies are the perfect weather in Devon and Cornwall to celebrate those who serve in our forces, defence families and those who have served.

In particular, the RAF fly past was incredible including the Red Arrows, an A400m Atlas and helicopters.

Our Armed Forces are rightly respected across the world. Labour’s message today to those who serve was simple: Thank you for your service. You make Britain proud.
