Luke Pollard MP Member of Parliament for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport

I am delighted the National Park has won their appeal today to allow the public to continue wild camping on Dartmoor without landowners’ permission, but this is not the end of the matter.
Wild camping on Dartmoor is an ancient right. It is now up to Parliament to guarantee a right to wild camp by extending the right to roam in law so cherished spaces like Dartmoor are protected for everyone.
That is what the next Labour Government will do, so why won’t the Tories do that now?
