Hello Plymouth – Tops nursery in Bretonside have been putting their creative skills to good use, designing some artwork that I’ve arranged to be hung in the Department for Education in Westminster. Thank you to all the children for their incredible artwork!
I’m campaigning with Tops Nurseries for the government to offer a lifeline to families in Plymouth struggling with rocketing childcare costs. Decent affordable childcare is vital for our country, but the reality for many families is that childcare is too expensive and there are fewer nurseries and places available due to chronic staff shortages.
Labour has already set out its ambition to fund more childcare places to make it easier for people to enter the profession and to support our early years businesses.
