Luke outside Devonport Police Office with Cllr Jemima Liang and Cllr Mark Coker
Great news Plymouth! Devonport Police Office has opened its doors to public for first time.
Over the past few years, I have spoken to numerous local residents who have said they want to see a staffed front desk open at the Devonport Police Office, enabling people to report crime, share intelligence and build better relations with Devon and Cornwall Police.
The front desk will initially be open for three days a week. They then aim to open it for the full six days per week early in 2024.
This campaign has been a long one and I want to thank your local councillors, Councillor Mark Coker in particular, for their persistence in raising the need for a front desk.
It is a case I agree with and together we have convinced the local Police and Crime Commissioner. This is welcome and shows when we all work together, we can achieve positive things for our community.
