Recently Boots have announced that they are closing four local community pharmacies, some of these in the most deprived parts of our city. More than 250 people have been in touch with me to express their disappointment that these valuable community assets are going to be lost and so I have been in touch with Boots to ask for a meeting to discuss their plans.

I have also been in touch with some of the pharmacists and GPs at the practices that they are attached to and they have also shared their concerns.

I am calling on Boots and NHS Devon to do more to make sure that vulnerable patients are able to access the prescriptions that they need.
